Shannon Dunlap was an ambitious and hardworking teenager who started performing residential landscaping in high school to earn extra money. Encouraged by the positive response and repeat business from his clients, Shannon continued working and building his enterprise for several years.
With a steady list of customers along with his own hard work and discipline Shannon provided an opportunity to turn what began as a part time hobby into a thriving business.
His mother Karen Mills began working to build the management and administrative structure for DLS, Inc. In 2000 the company became incorporated as Dunlap Lawn Service of Greensboro, North Carolina. Today with over 90+ full time employees and four offices located through out North Carolina, this mother and son team have grown this company to one of the largest landscape contractors in the state.
